Working Where We're Based

Mintlaw's where Landwise operates from, which changes what we can offer here compared with the towns we drive out to: shorter lead times, easier to fit in a same-week or even same-day look at something urgent, and no travel cost built into the quote. The village itself is a mix of older stone cottages along the main street, 1960s and 70s bungalows and terraces further out, and the farms and smallholdings that surround it on every side.

Aden Country Park, on the old Aden Estate just outside the village, is the obvious local landmark — a lot of the mature woodland around Mintlaw echoes the estate planting from that era, which means we see plenty of large, mature broadleaf trees in gardens that back onto or sit near that woodland edge, needing the kind of careful crown work you don't rush.

Out from the village centre it's farmland — arable and livestock both — which is where most of our stock fencing and shelterbelt hedge-laying work comes from, alongside the garden tree and hedge jobs closer in.
